Microsoft PBDA: viewing all channels on your PC

The company Microsoft has announced releasing its latest platform PBDA to broadcast virtually any TV signal under a personal computer through the TV tuner.
The technology PBDA, implemented in the package Windows Media Center TV Pack, allows you to view any free and commercial channels on your PC in compliance with the strict requirements of the television industry to protected content.
Along with the announcement of PBDA made by Microsoft, such companies as Hauppauge and AVerMedia announced releasing first solutions based on this technology. The company Hauppauge has released a TV tuner for computers with the ability to view channels, protected by means of Freeview technology, while the company AVerMedia has released a TV tuner, receiving terrestrial broadcasting of protected digital TV channels in Japan. Solutions supporting PBDA have also been presented by such major manufacturers as NEC Electronics, NXP and ViXS Systems.
