A study, held by McAfee, revealed that fans of the famous actor Brad Pitt are subject to considerable risk in the search for online information about their idol. 18 % links generated by search engines on this request, offer users to download wallpapers, screensavers and images, many of which contain malicious code. The request “Brad Pitt screensavers” increases risk of infection up to 50%. The actress and pop star Beyonce took the second in the most dangerous celebrities rating. McAfee warns that downloading ringtones made out of her songs may end up with stealing user’s important personal information. The third place in the list belongs to Justin Timberlake, whose name is equally appealing for both multimillion army of fans, and spyware creators.
The rest leading positions belong to Heidi Montag, Mariah Carey and Jessica Alba. Meanwhile, once-popular actors and actresses, Lindsey Lohan, Cameron Diaz, George Clooney and the wife of the unconditional leader Angelina Jolie are gradually handing over their positions.
