15th September 2008
DataDirect Technologies Corporation has announced a new version of their package DataDirect Connect for JDBC 4.0, a most complete set of JDBC-drivers. With these components Java-applications developers will be able to provide high and effective interaction between their own products and most common databases (including DBMS Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, Informix and MySQL).
Users of DataDirect Connect for JDBC 4.0 are offered a full support of the “freshest” specification of the standard JDBC 4.0 and a new type of data SQLXML, more flexible mechanisms for restoring connection after the break and much more. The product will also enable developers to fully assess an advantage of a number of improvements incorporated into new versions of leading DBMS of IBM DB2 9.5 and Oracle 11g, including the updated mechanisms of compressing databases, transparent data encryption and caching request results on the server side.
