Pro Photo Tools 2.2: free pictures organizing
23rd September 2008
Microsoft has released a new version of the free software Pro Photo Tools, meant to manage metadata of photographs. The program integrates with Virtual Earth and gives an opportunity to establish so-called geo-tags. These tags make it possible to organize photos on the basis on information about where the images were made. Such data include information on the longitude and latitude, as well as the city or other geographical features.
Users can put photos on the map Live Earth and move them to the right place, use information obtained from GPS-receiver, determine the names of places where the photos were made, as well as add geo-tags on snapshots.
The latest version adds the possibility of converting from RAW to JPEG, TIFF and HD Photo using raw image settings; adds viewing RAW files in the original resolution; adds support of 64-bit systems; improves interface for working with geo-tags.
Pro Photo Tools is available for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
