Students will receive a 90% discount for Office Ultimate 2007

To take decisive steps in combat with piracy, Microsoft announced a significant reduction in prices for Office 2007 in selected countries. In Canada, United States and Great Britain (since Sept. 12), as well as Spain, Italy and France (since September 20) until April 30 next year, students will be able to buy Office Ultimate 2007 for $ 59.95, while its real price exceeds $ 600. In the Office Ultimate 2007 students will be able to take advantage of the following components: Access 2007, Accounting Express 2007, Excel 2007, InfoPath 2007, Groove 2007, OneNote 2007, Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager, PowerPoint 2007, Publisher 2007 and Word 2007.
Students who purchase Office 2007 will get actually a 90% discount. Microsoft took these measures not only for the sake of fighting against piracy, but also for providing better computer security of their customers. According to the company, 43% of pirated software contains malicious modules, which could lead to the theft of personal information or the system crash. It is the second measure of lowering prices by Microsoft for this year. Previously, the price of Vista has been reduced in China. It is this very product, that Microsoft has the greatest problems with, as pirated version of Vista in China can be bought for less than one dollar.
