24th September 2007
Sonic Solutions Company, the developer of popular program Sonic DVD it Pro, announced that it has licensed its technology AuthorScript from the company Real Networks. Due to it RealPlayer users will be able to create DVD out of video files without leaving the program`s window.
This technology has been incorporated into a new version of RealPlayer, which can be downloaded from the official site. Using the free version of the player, users can record video discs, while DVD recording is available only in the commercial version, which is sold at a price of $ 30.
RealPlayer enables recording on DVD not only Real Media files, but all videofiles, supported by the program. In particular, you can record video in Flash, which is very popular in the Internet. However, remember, that videofiles protected by DRM won`t be recorded.
