The program for Windows XP Professional has been updated, testing whether a copy of Windows is genuine or not. Now if Windows Genuine Notification (WGA) discovers that the system is pirated, then at the next startup, it changes desktop color to black. If a user is changes it manually to some other color, then in an hour the program makes it black again.
Another innovation of WGA for Windows XP Professional is placing a banner at the bottom of the screen, informing the user that his version is unlicensed. The notification is transparent, and users can work with elements of desktop placed beneath it, but it is still impossible to remove.
