Wrath of the Lich King will come out only on DVD

Blizzard has officially stated that the expected addon Wrath of the Lich King for the multiplayer role-playing game World of Warcraft will be available only on DVD. The publishers are not going to distribute the project on usual CD disks. By the way, the previous addon to the popular MMORPG (The Burning Crusade) was distributed on CD and DVD, and also as a digital package, downloaded via the net.
The game industry has long been moving toward the total hegemony of DVD, but it seems that after releasing Wrath of the Lich King this format is going to be gone as a media for interactive entertainment. It`s just too small for games that sometimes take up to ten gigabytes.
