AdSense advertisement will appear in videos on YouTube
17th October 2007
Rather soon, advertisers using the program AdSense for promotion of their products and services, will be able to put advertisement not only in the form of banners and text links on the web pages, but in videos on YouTube. Advertisers will be able to choose one of the advertising variants in video: static banner in the full screen of the player before the playback or a text link that occurs in the first 10 seconds of playing and appears at the bottom of the screen.
Like regular contextual advertising, these ads will be posted on the basis of key words. Users will be able to close these ad units, and advertisers will pay for each click.
