As cited in a support document on Apple's website, the company claimed to update the boot camp soon. Boot camp is a utility service on Intel based Mac, that lets users run Windows as well as its application on a separate diskpartition.

With boot camp in Mac operating system X Snow Leopard, Apple will be supporting Windows 7 and its versions of Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate, before the end of this year, and require a software update to boot camp, as said by the short support document.

The support document also lists the models of nine of the older iMac, Mac Pro and MacBook Pro, which will not be able to run the just-launched Windows 7 in boot camp. Though all machines are used an Intel processor, Apple did not clarify that why they would not support Windows 7.

The list had 4 iMacs having the 17-in. and 20-in. models and 4 MacBook Pros having 15-in. and 17-in. notebooks all from the year 2006. The list also included Mac Pro workstation with Intel Xeon Dual core at 2.66 GHz or at 3 GHz.
