Carcade system will transform landscape behind the car window into game space

A few German students from the Berlin University of Arts have developed a curious game system named Carcade (the name was born as a result of uniting the stems “car” and “arcade”).
Key components of the game system are a laptop and a video camera connected to it. The camera is installed outside of the car and shoots a landscape floating behind its window which is further turned into the game space. Already now all interested are welcome to estimate a simple scroller Space Invasion in which a player driving the three-dimensional plane, should gather bonuses and avoid crashing with obstacles. The game complexity directly depends on the speed of driving the car.
The developers inform that it is possible to create games in various genres for Carcade including two-dimensional shooters, Mario-like platformers, etc.
