Europeans improve Microsoft search engine

Microsoft Corp. is going to open in territory of Europe three research and development centers which will be engaged in development of new technologies for Internet search, reports InformationWeek.
These centers will involve European experts. With their help Microsoft is planning to create a product which could draw attention of European users to the searcher Live Search. Research and development centers of Microsoft will be located in London, Paris and Munich. Their development will cost the corporation about $600 million. By August this year, according to the company ComScore, Microsoft occupied 8,3% of the market of Internet search. The other day Microsoft declared start of the action SearchPerks, participants of which will get bonus points for using Live Search. They can exchange stored points for various gifts. By means of this action Microsoft hopes to increase popularity of the searcher in the USA.
