Google has said that the new Google Maps Navigation product will be providing a rea time, and turn by turn directions which will be directly within the cell phones that are based on new version of the Android software.

This navigation product that has the features of speech recognition and visual display, which incorporates the online archive of street photographs of Google Inc., has marked the latest step by Google in order to challenge the iPhone of Apple Inc and the Windows Mobile software of Microsoft Corp. with the Android smartphone software.

It has also represented its direct competitive threat to such companies as Garmin and TomTom who are selling the specialized devices of hardware navigation. TomTom is also making a software navigation app for iPhone, which will be selling for an amount of $99.99 inside the U.S.
