Experts from the company Aladdin Knowledge Systems managed to eliminate one of the biggest start pads used for hacker attacks on sites of companies and government agencies.
Some time ago, specialists detected and cracked a hackers` server used by cyber criminals to distribute malware. Having carefully reviewed the server logs, specialists have found that recently representatives of two or three hacker teams have made several hundred genuine user names and passwords to the server needed to access various web-servers on administrator terms. On the total, the server was found to contain more than 208 000 unique names and passwords, and later experts found that more than 80 000 resources in the list have been already hacked.
Aladdin Knowledge Systems does not reveal the full list of compromised resources. It is only known that among them there were several representatives of the Fortune 500 list.
The experts also reported that the information received enabled them to find the current location of intruders, this information has been already sent to investigating authorities.
