IBM has announced expanding the consumer audience of their main products Lotus Notes and Domino.
Now the functionality of the popular solutions can be estimated by owners of popular
Apple smartphones iPhone. Lotus iNotes ultralite will be granted to holders of registered copies of Lotus Notes for free and will allow mobile employees of organizations to receive fast and secure access to their e-mail, work calendars and contact lists.
Owners of iPhone will be able to access functions of Lotus iNotes out of the Safari interface. iNotes ultralite can already be downloaded from the manufacturer’s site. In the future, the program will be included in the package Notes 8.0.2, which also includes an updated version of the product Lotus Symphony, an easy-to-use set of tools for working with documents, spreadsheets and presentations in ODF (Open Document Format). The new version of Lotus Symphony can boast a greater compatibility with Microsoft Office and the support of several additional languages.
