Mandriva Linux 2009: already available

Recently, the final version of the operating system Mandriva Linux 2009 has come out, which has been under the beta testing for the last months.
The platform Mandriva Linux 2009 is based on the core of Linux 2.6.27. The developers noted that the new version of the popular package were created taking into account wishes of many users and offers more effective solutions to perform daily tasks.
The project participants increased the speed of loading the operating system, improved the utility of parental control, as well as simplified installing applications and updates and improved their reliability. In addition, Mandriva Linux 2009 completely redesigned the graphical installer, improved support of hardware components of laptops, as well as support of Intel G41 chipset with the integrated graphics controller Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 (GMA X4500).
The new operating system includes Mozilla Firefox 3, the package of office applications OpenOffice.org 3, the working environment GNOME 2.24 and the desktop manager KDE 4.1. The developers point out improved means of synchronization with the communicators RIM Blackberry and Nokia, as well as mobile devices based on Windows Mobile 2002/2003 and Windows Mobile 5 / 6.
The platform Mandriva Linux 2009 is available in versions Mandriva 2009 One with an option to install on the hard drive, Mandriva 2009 Free without proprietary components and Mandriva 2009 PowerPack with commercial software.
