MathWorks announces new language SimScape
19th October 2008
The Company MathWorks announced a new language SimScape which will be included into the product of the same name and allow using text descriptions when modeling physical systems and components.
The toolkit Simscape expands functionality of the Simulink environment at the expense of possibility of modeling many-dimensional physical systems.
Thanks to these models, designers` teams will be able to model systems behaviour with high accuracy, to create more reliable managing strategies, to consider alternative versions of design and to reveal possible problems at early stages of engineering process.
The language Simscape based on the widespread language MATLAB will allow experts to create models, suitable for reusing and to essentially simplify exchange of these models.
Engineers engaged in designing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and other components, can use Simscape in the combination to specialized tools from MathWorks (SimElectronics, SimMechanics, SimDriveline, SimHydraulics and SimPowerSystems).
