Microsoft Hopes To Make A New Start With Windows 7
23rd October 2009
Microsoft Corporation launched a new operating system this October and hopes to make a fresh start with it after the bad reception of Windows Vista. Windows 7 is available now on new computers and also for some older PCs as a software upgrade. Fry's electronics store is located in Renton Washington, which is several miles away on the South of Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, was open at midnight for giving an early shot to those customers who were buying a new PC or discs that they could use to put the new operating system on their existing computers. These upgrade discs started from $120.
People expect that if Windows Vista took them 72 hours for installation, Microsoft's new OS will take just about 20 minutes. Microsoft expects that Windows 7 will be much liked by people as compared to the recent predecessor Windows Vista, which was quite slow and could not work well with many existing devices and programs.
The boot up of Windows 7 is much fast and the clicks required to do common tasks are reduced too. Microsoft Corporation has cut down some redundant ways to start up and has introduced flourishers to keep track of opened windows. The new operating system promises to put the computers in sleep mode and it comes back faster from sleep mode.
