Mozilla Lightning 0.7: calendar for Thunderbird users
31st October 2007
A new version of the program Lightning has been released, which is an addition to the free email client Thunderbird. Lightning is meant to integrate the calendar in the email program, and, thus, bring it closer to Outlook. In fact, Lightning is a slightly modified version of Sunbird calendar, but works with Thunderbird. Using the program is recommended for people who wish to combine calendar and e-mail client in one application, for example, if a person receives invitations to meetings and assemblies via e-mail.
The latest version makes some changes to the interface, making it easier to switch between e-mail and calendar, improves window or tasks and events, adds opportunity of their creation in different time zones, improves creating reminders and repeatable events, adds panel "Today" containing list of tasks and events.
