River Past Video Perspective 7.6: changing video formats
24th October 2007
The main purpose of this program is changing the format of the image on video. The main picture formats that are used today are 4:3 (the so-called LetterBox) and wide 16:9. When running on the wide-screen, video in the usual format is somewhat different than we are accustomed to see it: all objects are incredibly thick. If, vice versa, we run the video in 4:3 format on the big screen, objects become thinner. This discrepancy is due to the ratio of images parties in a variety of formats.
River Past Video Perspective makes it possible to change the format of the video images. When converting large video into usual, edges will be cut, but when you convert video of the format LetterBox into 16:9 format, black stripes will be added at the edge, on the contrary. The latest version adds support of MPEG-4 tags iTunes, improves preview window, and corrects errors when converting video from WMV MOV, MP4 or 3GP.
