First Microsoft stole the limelight in the morning when it announced its deals with both Facebook and Twitter, to add the social networking status updates in Bing's search results. As the conference was chattering about the time that how long it will take for Google to sign its deal to catch up with the search rival Microsoft, Google announced its deal later that day, not with Facebook, but with the micro-blogging site of Twitter.

This gave the opportunities to both Microsoft and Google to deploy weapons against each other in the search war. Both of these companies have their deals with Twitter. Microsoft was very free and open in giving out any information regarding its deal with the social network of Facebook, but Yusuf Mehdi who is the senior vice president of Microsoft's Online Audience Business, was more excited about the deal with Twitter.

Mehdi said that the deal will combine tweets into Bing's search results. Microsoft's search engine will also grade the tweets on this that how relevant they are to the specific query.
