Soft for cell phones will ban chattering when driving
25th October 2008
Canadian developers from Aegis Mobility announced the availability of the program that can prohibit calls on a cellular phone or SMS-correspondence while driving.
According to AFP, the utility called DriveAssist is described by the developers as an advanced technology of managing calls and allows intercepting telephone calls and SMS, if the phone is in a fast moving vehicle (motorcycle, truck, etc…). DriveAssist determines the speed and activates an “electronic secretary”, which tells the calling people that the owner can not answer the phone right now, and proposes to leave a message. In addition, the program may indicate location of the phone owner, by means of GPS or signals from base stations of cellular communication.
Now the developers are negotiating with operators to offer DriveAssist in the future to telephone subscribers on the subscription basis.
