Symantec introduced Veritas Cluster Server One

Symantec Corporation has announced the product Veritas Cluster Server One (VCS One).
The platform can be used in data-centers of the next generation for providing high availability of critically business applications and databases and rapid failure recovery. This is an easy-to-use and scalable solution for clustering, suitable for use in heterogeneous infrastructure based on virtual and physical servers.
VCS advantageously differs from most traditional clustering platforms, difficult in deployment and management. And thanks to a set of innovative opportunities the new product makes managing clusters more efficient and ensures a significant reduction in capital and operating costs.
VCS One also allows monitoring the interdependence between applications and reducing the dead time through the possibility of restarting components of distributed applications that run under different operating systems and different physical and virtual platforms.
