The final version of Ubuntu 7.10 is ready for download

Ubuntu developers once again proved loyal to their schedule and released the final version of the open-source distribution kit Ubuntu 7.10 with the code name Gutsy Gibbon. Ubuntu still pleases its users with absolutely free corporate version and the free security updates, along with improved infrastructure, updating all included applications and improved interface with 3D- effects. Ubuntu 7.10 includes the following innovations and updates:
GNOME 2.20;
Compiz Fusion is enabled by default. Ubuntu 7.10 will automatically detect the configuration of your computer and the ability to start Compiz Fusion;
accelerated switching between user sessions;
built-in tool of search for files and folders on your computer;
automatically sets most popular Firefox plugins for a more comfortable work in the Internet;
new tool of setting images to work with several simultaneously connected monitors, to change screen resolution, and to change the frequency of updates;
automatic installation of the printer as soon as you connect through better plug-and-play configuration;
updated Linux core extends battery life and saves energy of laptops.
