The Salesforce-Adobe Deal Can Help To Boost The Profile Of Force.Com

The deal was announced on Monday and involves the provisioning of a unified development environment, the Adobe Flash Builder for Force.com, for the purpose of a more easy deployment of the Flash applications on Force.com. As expected this environment is to be used for the applications in order to extend Salesforce.com CRM applications, and to build up business applications or the Web sites and also for building the desktop applications, which can run outside the browser.

Eric Stahl, the director of the product marketing at Salesforce.com has said that they think that this would drive to a wider use of Force.com. The Force.com platform has completed its three years and it currently has 63,000 customers who built 120,000 of applications.

Adobeâ€™s Salesforce.com arrangements have called for using Flash on front end of the application and the Apex programming language on the back end of the Salesforce.com. The developers can also access the database of Force.com. They would also be using the technologies of Adobe Flash development that include MXML and the ActionScript.

One of the Adobe Official sees this deal with Salesforce.com, a way to make the Force.com as more mainstream. Dave Gruber, who is the group manager of the Adobe platform business unit, has said that Force.com had been well respected by the users of Salesforce.com but it lacks the visibility and has a lack of tooling for the deploying of applications to the cloud.
