Unity 2.0: toolset for computer games developer

The company Unity Technologies has announced a new version of their product Unity 2.0, an excellent a set of tools for development of three-dimensional cross-platform computer professional quality games. In total, games developers are offered more than 50 innovations.
One of the most interesting innovation is the possibility to use videos as textures of the game objects. The product`s 3D engine has undergone optimization, what made a very beneficial impact on its performance. Moreover, thanks to the engine`s elaboration, users will be able to use the library DirectX 9 for rendering three-dimensional images.
Help system has been added with detailed materials and manuals on the use of shaders, implementation of the network support and other topics.
The developers have significantly simplified the installation procedure of the module Unity Web Player Unity, which no longer requires browser`s rebooting. Besides, there is now the support of LZMA algorithm which improved efficiency of compressing files by 30%. Users also are sure to like a revised interface of the module Unity Editor, offering new "skins", pictograms, the buttons and tools.
