29th October 2009
According to Vmware, the Installment of the new operating system of Microsoft Corporation on some virtual machine is much easier as compared to installing it on a physical PC and that Workstation 7 outperforms the Windows XP mode.
The latest version of the Workstation, as was announced on Tuesday, can support the 32-bit and also the 64-bit versions of Windows 7. The VMware Workstation 7 can also work with the features that are present in the Windows 7 interface, Flip 3D and the Aero Peek, in order to show the live thumbnail pictures of the virtual machines of a user.
Installing the new OS of Microsoft onto a virtual machine is far easier as compared to doing it on a physical PC. Vmware also says that for Windows 7 users, who actually want to keep on using Windows XP, the Workstation is seen to outperform the own Windows XP mode of Windows 7.
Some of the other new features include the improved 3D graphics as well as more advanced support of the CPU.
Vmware further stated that the users can also create their virtual machines with up to 4 virtual processors or 4 virtual cores, and the memory per virtual machine can go up to 32GB. They are also able to make a virtual machine to pause to free more of the CPU resources.
