A Microsoft engineer who was writing on the same forum has said that the company was actually investigating the user's problems, but has downplayed them as the isolated issues.

Users began to post messages about the endless reboots they had to do this Friday, by saying that the new operating system of Microsoft Corporation, Windows 7 installation will be hanging up two-thirds throughout the upgrading process. A message came on the machines of the users as reported by them which claim that the upgrade was unsuccessful and that Windows Vista would restore. Instead, the PCs booted again to the setup of Windows 7, that failed, and then it restarted the cycle.

Other than the upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, there was not any common characteristic of the computers or of the user's actions. Microsoft support engineers also entered this thread on Sunday, taking information from the affected users, like the version of Vista before upgrade process, and also about the antivirus software which was installed on the machine.
