Windows Vista SP2 may come out earlier than Windows 7
29th October 2008
Microsoft has introduced the first beta version of the second service pack for Windows Vista to selected partners. Despite that, so far very little is known about Service Pack 2. It is anticipated that it will include support of Hyper-V, as well as a number of improvements and bug fixes that are usually included in such updates. Most likely, that more information about Windows Vista Service Pack 2 will be available next month, after the conference of Microsoft developers.
According to information from private sources of the journalist Mary-Jo Foley, the final version of Vista Service Pack 2 is expected before the release of the new operating system Windows 7, which, in its turn, may be expected in the second half of 2009.
