WinQuota 4.0.8: managing disk quotas in Windows environments

A new version of the product WinQuota 4.0.8 has come out, a powerful and simple tool to manage quotas on using storage resources.
By means of this program system administrators will be able to impose limits on the use of disk space and closely monitor compliance with these restrictions. Windows management tools allow managing disk quotas of users only at the level of disk volumes. WinQuota provides a much greater flexibility and an opportunity to operate quotas at the level of individual folders and files. The set quota can not be exceeded in the course of operating by means of the OS (moving, copying, renaming files or folders) and and at changing the file system by means of software.
Unlike a number of similar solutions, WinQuota provides the ability to manage quotas in real time, closely integrates with the services Active Directory and Windows Domains and can be used in combination with any common data storage systems (including SAS, NAS, RAID / LVM).
The new version has an expanded support of files larger than 4 gigabytes. Users are also guaranteed a stable mechanism for sending notifications. WinQuota is available in two versions: WinQuota Professional and WinQuota Corporate, the first of which focusing on representatives of small and medium-sized business; the second fully meets the needs of large organizations.
