ABBYY Screenshot Reader: shortcuts recognition
5th November 2008
The company ABBYY has announced the release of ABBYY Screenshot Reader in the form of a separate product.
Earlier ABBYY Screenshot Reader was available only to registered users of professional and corporate versions of the recognition system ABBYY FineReader. Now the program ABBYY Screenshot Reader is available to a wide range of users as a separate product to create screenshots and recognizing screen segments.
ABBYY Screenshot Reader is a tool to create images of any part of your computer screen, be it the whole screen, an application window or just a selected area. These images can be used to further saving, sending via mail, preparing presentations and other purposes. The program can also recognize text or spreadsheet on the taken screenshot and copy the results to the clipboard, or save as a file.
In the online ABBYY store the product ABBYY Screenshot Reader is available at a price of about $10. Before buying the application, you can try a full-functional trial version of ABBYY Screenshot Reader with the time limitation being 120 days.
