Android Powered DROID Can Be The Last Chance Of Motorola
1st November 2009
DROID by Motorola that will be available on the network of Verizon Wireless on Nov. 6, is going to be the first smartphone that will use Android 2.0 operating system. According to an analyst this device is a threat to iPhone by Apple and is the last best chance of Motorola to thrive in the sector of increasingly competitive smartphone.
Tim Bajarin who is the president of consultancy Creative Strategies, has wrote an e-mail saying that the device is well designed and said that he believed it to be considered as one of the top smartphones of the market. No doubt, its goal is to help Verizon for giving their customers one alternative to the iPhone of Apple, and to that it should be getting a lot of Verizon's customers who are interested in it if they were considering to have an iPhone.
For Motorola, the stakes are high, and Bajarin also wrote that this device delivers to a point at least. This product is a do-or-die one for Motorola. He also wrote that they were in a need to hit a home run for even staying in the game. Initial Droid is one solid product but according to him it only gets them to the third base. The ease of use of Apple and the media synchronization is still trumping the Droid. However, if these problems are solved and Android world is able to deliver more of the exciting and innovative apps, it clearly could help to get a product into the top tier of smartphone market.
