Apache Has Made The Upgrade Of Tomcat Java Servlet Container Ready

Apache Software Foundation for the open source projects is now making an upgrade for its Tomcat Java servlet container ready, with eyeing improvements in the areas like scalability and also security as an Apache personnel has said on a Wednesday afternoon.
The version 7 of Tomcat is now due in the alpha release near the time frame of Christmas or New Year as said by Mark Thomas who is an Apache member, a Tomcat committer, and also the senior software engineer at the Vmware owned SpringSource.
Tomcat is actually used for the deployment of the Web sites and also the serves as a basis for the products like the SpringSource tc Server to run Java and the Spring applications. Tomcat is also used in at least 75 percent of the Java based Web sites as said by Jim Jagielski who is the chairman of Apache board of directors and also a senior staff engineer and the chief open source officer at the VMware. The Apache officials also discussed the Tomcat at their ApacheCon US 2009 conference held in Oakland, Calif.
The plans for Tomcat version 7 may include the backing up the specifications for still unfinished Java Servlet 3.0. There are asynchronous processing capabilities that are featured in Tomcat 7 and also in Servlet 3.0 for the purpose of improving scalability as the Apache officials have said.
