Apple Approved PhoneGap
30th November 2009
The open source development tool PhoneGap, which is used for building such mobile applications which are platform neutral by using the languages like CSS, HTML as well as JavaScript, seems to be supported by Apple. The company got the blessings of the Apple Inc. which is not an easy thing to get. It is such an endorsement which encourages many of those mobile application developments which can work on many of the platforms.
The contributor of PhoneGap Jesse MacFadyen has said in a blog post that there has been a complete technical analysis of the company done by Apple. MacFadyen works in a web development firm named Nitobi and is working there as a software developer. It has also been concluded by Apple that the former company does not break or violate any kind of the terms and conditions of the App store of Apple. The meaning of these things is that Apple would be reviewing the products of PhoneGap according to the company`s own merits and will not be penalizing them as such development tools which are non-Apple.
The spokesperson of Apple did not comment on the claim of MacFadyen. But considering the claim to be true, the developers of iPhone will now be making applications for not only the devices of Apple but for others too by using the technologies of open Web.
