12th November 2009
It appeared that Best Buy will be taking sides again in the wars of the software, and this time it is partnering with the Google in order to help installing Google Mobile app on the new phones.
Google likens this joint venture to kind of the conversation one could have with an associate. Like you have a new handset, and a friend of yours wants to inform all of the benefits of the Google's Mobile app to you. At the Best Buy, you would be getting a manifestation of everything which the Google Mobile is offering, and the staff of Best Buy will also be helping you to get these applications running on the phone if one wishes that. The app as well as their service is free.
Benefits to Google are quite obvious as when many people will be using Google on the phones they use, but what would be the benefit of Best Buy and what will it get out of this, is it just a financial reimbursement, or the emotion that retail stores of Best Buy's are not irrelevant in this digital age, are the few questions which are going on in everyone's mind.
Whatever the situation is, the supposed Windows training program of Best Buy, which reportedly had filled store employees with information to dissuade the customers from buying Linux or Mac.
