Digital Distributors And The Modern Warfare2
15th November 2009
If you had been thinking of getting the new Call of Duty or the Modern warfare2 games from the digital distributors then you will have to install these games and then will have to use the steam in order to run these games. It has also been reported by Gamasutra that some of the retailers have also said no to sell of this game because of this long procedure. First the game needs to be installed and you can not play it right away. Also Steam must be used for playing it. Another of the game named a Direct2Drive has also given its statement about the warfare 2 commotion. This game is also made by IGN Entertainment which is the parent company of the Gamespy.
At direct2drive it is mainly focused that once you have purchased a game for yourself you must not buy any other third party software to install just for playing the game. This approach has been highly rejected by Direct2Drive. It is of the view that once you bought the game, you should be able to play it right then. There are also some other companies who have disliked this idea and have greatly disapproved it. The companies who have been supporting direct2drive on the boycott are the Impulse and the GamersGate.
