Divitas Has Extended The Mobile Collaboration To IPhone, Android, And RIM
8th November 2009
DiVitas Networks, a mobile unified communications vendor, has also added iPhone, BlackBerry and also Android to its set of the platforms that it is supporting with the software in order to access the desk-phone and also the presence features on cell phones.
DiVitas has extended these call features from private branch exchange (PBX) systems to the mobile phones followed by integrated instant messaging, the information of presence and location, and also the status reporting. Its idea is to let the workers use a phone and a number both on the inside and outside of the office, having the same features for both of the incoming as well as the outgoing calls. The company already worked with Nokia and Samsung in order to get this software on the selected Symbian and the Windows Mobile devices respectively. The introduction of Monday of the software has brought DiVitas to all of the major enterprise cell phone platforms.
DiVitas has also said that it has offered a more complete set of the features on its mobile phones as compared to two of the biggest unified players of communications, i.e. Cisco Systems and Avaya. But all of the vendors are moving towards making the cell phones do the work of the desk phones and also the desktop collaboration as according to an analyst Brad Shimmin of the Current Analysis.
