Droid Has Offered A Solid Competition To Iphone
6th November 2009
The new smartphone of Motorola, dubbed Droid as in the United States and the Milestone inside Europe, might be the strongest and the biggest competitor to the iPhone of Apple as yet. This is slated to arrive in the U.S. on Nov. 6, and runs on the 3G network of Verizon and the Android operating system of Google's. It promises for a rich universe of such apps that are free from the oft-criticized approval process of Apple.
Motorola has announced its new phone with striking advertising campaign that has knocked the iPhone as iDon't. These ads are issuing zingers like, iDon't contains a real keyboard, and iDon't allows the open development, also iDon't run apps simultaneously.
Droid might be having these things like the lack of one physical keyboard in iPhone has always been an irritant since the time of its initial release but is not clear whether these features will actually matter anything for the customers. For example, David Worthington has written on Technologizer.com that those points are resonating with him as he is a member of tech-punditocracy and the draconian policies of Apple do not actually affect his overall experience. He does not have to meet too many of the disaffected iPhone users, and this is because of the user experience, while being imperfect, is quite great.
