Dr.Web for Windows 5.0: open beta testing with precious gifts at the end of it

The company Dr.Web has announced the beta version of Dr.Web for Windows 5.0.
Specialists of the company increased performance by 30% compared with version 4.44, improved detection efficiency, added support of many new packers and archivers, provided the convenience of managing through SpIDer Agent, and also added the parental control module and HTTP-scanner SpIDer Gate.
Beta version of Dr.Web for Windows 5.0 is based on a new improved anti-virus engine. Like previous versions, Dr.Web for Windows 5.0 beta allows, in most cases, installing the product to infected system and carrying out its curing.
Dr.Web for Windows 5.0 beta now has a new module of self-defense (from anti-antiviruses). This new version also adds support of many new packers and archives.
Beta version of Dr.Web for Windows 5.0 provides several types of filtering Internet content at once. First of all, its new module SpIDer Gate guarantees full scanning in real time of all incoming and outgoing information through HTTP to detect and neutralize viruses, Trojans and other malicious sites. SpIDer Gate transparently scans the traffic transmitted by HTTP, captures all HTTP-connections, filters data. As a result, the user receives already verified, cleared from malicious code pages.
On the pother hand, there is the module Parental Control Dr.Web, which allows you to restrict access to certain sites (you can add them by your own or using an updated database of links), as well as prohibit the use of CD / DVD-drives, flash-drives and other devices.
At last, such a tool as SpIDer Agent manages settings of all components of the new version of an antivirus product out of a single control panel.
