Dr.Web warns of lavishing phishing attacks

The company Dr.Web warns of a new wave of phishing attacks.
There has been a sharp increase in the number of spam messages aiming to make users let out their Internet passwords to payment systems, credit card numbers and other confidential information.
One of the objects of these attacks is clients of the JPMorgan Chase Bank. They have received spam messages recommending them to check the settings of access to online accounts. In addition, clients are offered to take part in the survey and get $50 for it: to obtain the earned money, you, of course, should give you card number and PIN-code. Links to the sites indicated in letters, as usually, lead to fake sites, exact copies of those of JPMorgan Chase Bank. So, your greed to have extra cash may cost you all your money at all.
Another victim of the similar spam is the other well-known bank, RBC Royal Bank. The recipient is informed that his account has been disabled after three unsuccessful attempts to login. To reactivate it, you have to enter your card number and a password. We think you can easily guess the rest of the scenario.
Most interestingly, many people eagerly swallow the bait, as trivial it is.
The experts have nothing to do but to strongly recommend users to be cautious when reading e-mails from “banks” and other “financial institutions”.
