As with any other ERP implementation, Epicor is working together with its customers to define the objectives, goals and scope of these projects. Also the expected return on investment is also being defined. The twist in this situation is that both Epicor as well as the customers would be working together and gain by putting the projects on a steady and smooth path. If there comes any project which is done in less cost as was expected, then the extra amount of money would be divided between the two in 50:50 ratios. Also if there occurs any of the overruns from these projects then the same ratio would be applied and the customer would have to pay just half of the additional cost as said by Epicor.

The Epicor vice president for consulting, Craig Stephens, has said that after this decision, the customers can get the relaxation of a fixed price contract as well as the chance of getting their money back. He further added that under this agreement of fixed price, Epicor would be having any of the excess funds with itself.
