Fiasco Is The Name Given By Users To Oracle's Latest Support Portal
21st November 2009
Many of the users are not happy with the told access and performance issues of the Oracle`s new portal which is called my Oracle support.
There had been a constant effort done by Oracle from months in order to prepare its users about this transition, which was done with the help of the official notifications as well as through blog posts. But before the switchover of Nov. 6, many of the users are decrying over this new portal of Oracle. The factor told was its Flash interface that makes it unusable at those client sites which do not allow the use of Flash on them.
In a partial reply to all such complaints by the users, Oracle has said that they will also be including HTML interface. But the users who were quite frustrated and annoyed with this have said that both of the versions have got difficulties to use.
On the official forum of Oracle, a user named Mike has said that he had been having lots of problems with the new portal my Oracle support throughout the day. Sometimes it happens that users can not log in and when they can, they can not get a service request logged as it gives errors at many locations during the process. He also said that he tried to catch up with the tech support but even that did not seem to be supporting.
