freeCommander 2007.10: an alternative to Total Commander
5th November 2007
freeCommander is a free file manager, which is attractive by its through out interface and the possibility of fine tuning. Fans of Total Commander will find in the program very necessary functions and support for hot keys, and those who decided to leave the Explorer, will be able to use a standard tree-like presentation of files. Besides, the directory tree can successfully coexist in the program window with the two panels. Those who frequently travel from computer to computer, care sure to appreciate the fact that the program works perfectly from USB devices and leaves no records in the registry. To work with freeCommander from the flash, you just need to copy the folder with the program there.
The latest version adds support of auto filling in the address bar, a history of visited folders for each tab, new sorting options, new parameters of the command line; updates set of applications in "Favorites”.
