GIMP 2.4.2: graphical editor for Linux-lovers

A new version GIMP has been released, a popular Linux program designed for image processing. By means of GIMP you can perform tasks such as image processing, creating collages, copyright, etc. The program supports the work with channels and layers, Alpha-channel, editable text layers, has many selection tools and paint program can also be used as a convenient tool for batch files conversion. GIMP`s features can be expanded by connecting additional modules, total number of which is more than a hundred.
This version corrects an error found after the release of GIMP 2.4. In particular, they relate to updating information on the histogram, pop-up hints, work of the plug-in TIFF, etc.
Although the program was originally designed for Linux, it is also available for Windows and Mac platforms.
