Google changed conditions of Google Docs service
30th November 2007
The Google company has made changes to the terms of services rendering by the Google Docs service, reports ArsTechnica.
The fact that the wording of some items of Terms of Service Agreement for Google Docs provides Google with too many rights, was circulated in summer already. For example, the original document of Terms of Service stated that the service subscriber agrees that Google reserves the option to modify and distribute the customer`s content.
In connection with these, frankly speaking, ambiguous language wording, many forums became full of messages containing critics addressed to Google, and the company tried to clarify the situation. Google`s representatives told the observers of ArsTechnica that the company is not going to edit and use anyone's documents if their author had not given the proper authorization.
Now, to avoid any talks in the users environment, Google agreed to make changes into the terms of services rendering of Google Docs. On Google site, it is now clearly said that the rights of all the documents belong to their authors.
