Google Moves On With Its GO Language
20th November 2009
Google has announced about its new experimental open source programming language which is called the GO language. This language is considered to be mixing the speed of any dynamic language such as Python with the safety and the performance of any of the compiled languages such as C or C++.
The Go team, in their blog of Google open source has said that during all the experiments which were conducted with this Go language, the usual builds were done instantaneously and also the large binaries were seen to be compiling in just few seconds. Also the code which has been compiled runs at the speed which is much like the speed of C language.
The team has further said that this is considered to be a good one for system programming that has the support for multi processing, a fresh start for the object oriented design along with the great features such as of closures and reflections present in their Go language. It was also posted on the blog that Go is the language if you are in a wish to write a server having many communication threads, want to spend less time doing other stuff while your code is built or need to whip up prototype for any of your recent and new idea.
