Hard Drive Inspector 3.0: monitoring your HDD

Another update of the program, designed to track the status of hard drives.
Using the technology SMART, which today is supported by nearly all hard drives, Hard Drive Inspector analyzes them and informs the user of possible problems. The program may advise you to make an emergency data backup, as well as to urgently replace the hard disk. At the user request Hard Drive Inspector can perform backups automatically. Other features include sending reports on the HDD status via e-mail, turning off the computer if a problem occurs. Data on the discs status can as well be saved in a log file, or printed.
The latest version adds support of RAID-controllers 3Ware 8xxx and 9xxx; adds support of Solid State Drives (SSD) and a larger number of USB-devices; introduces a new algorithm for measuring temperature; improves the procedure of determining the drive for non-typical configurations.
