IBM Has Announced Its New Beta Services For The Cloud Software Development
12th November 2009
IBM has announced the beta versions of its new services aiming at those developers who want to create and deploy the applications on public as well as private clouds.
Like the other vendors, as Skytap, IBM is also pushing the cloud services as its way for the programmers to get the access for computing power quickly, which is something that might get difficult if many of the in house projects occur and the on site computing resources get scarce. With Smart Business Development and the Test service, which are running on the public cloud of IBM, the developers can get one working environment in just few minutes as according to the vendors.
IBM has also said that it would be beginning to deploy the Rational Software Delivery Services for the Cloud Computing on the private clouds. This offering, which had been announced as one technology preview earlier during this year, has bundled the best practices for the agile development; the services for test management and also for planning; and some other tools, like the asset tracking software which is supposed for helping the development teams run more efficiently.
Both of these services are actually set to be generally available during the first quarter of the year 2010 as said by Ashok Reddy, who is the director of the software delivery platform and the security products.
