iPhone 1.1.2: new challenges for hackers
18th November 2007
Users, who installed the latest update of iPhone 1.1.2 now report on new obstacles to “releasing” the Apple phone. The company discovered and corrected the error, used for cracking the phone after the version firmware 1.1.1. Now (temporarily), users once again can not choose an operator and installing third-party applications without the prior approval of Apple. Moreover, a new version has not been released yet, it is still not available through iTunes. Last week, users found iPhone 1.1.2 sized 160 MB on Apple servers, and began downloading it. So far, there is no information on full blocking the phone at the attempt of its cracking, as it was with the version 1.1.1.
Developers of modules for hacking iPhone have made no comments so far, but, out of the previous experience, it can be expected that the new hacking will hardly take more than several weeks.
As for innovations, no significant improvements have been found, so, we only have to wait for information directly from Apple.
