IT Employment Is Thought To Be Stabilizing After The Loss Of 250,000 Jobs

According to some new data apparently the turn in U.S. economy might be putting brakes on the IT job loss freefall.
Since last November, the IT employments have been declined by nearly 250,000 jobs, or about 6 percent, after peaking the month at 4.058 million jobs. However, only 1,100 of these jobs were lost in the month of August, or .03 percent declined as according to TechServe Alliance, which is an Alexandria, Va. based industry group and conducts the ongoing analysis of the IT occupation data compiled by the U.S.
Mark Roberts who is the CEO of the alliance and represents the IT services companies, consultants, and also the staffing firms which will be among the first ones to hire out of recession has said that their member firms have indicated for expecting some more work. IT employment losses have began to moderating in the month June.
Roberts also said that the folks have been very optimistic about their future based on what ever they are hearing from the clients. They are feeling a lot of pent-up demand.
U.S. Commerce Department has also reported that the U.S. economy has grown by 3.5 percent annual rate during the last quarter. But the IT employment is in trough and also the pay as said by David Foote, who heads the Foote Partners, which is a Vero Beach, Fla. based research group and studies the IT compensation. Foote has said that about two thirds of the IT workers either has seen the salaries going down or remaining flat over the past year.
